Registered Nurse - MedSurg/General Surgery

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Day shift, 4x12 hours (07:00 - 19:30) preferred. Will consider 3x12 hours as well. Rotating weekends and holidays required.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our MedSurg/General Surgery unit. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to providing high-quality care to patients and will work collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure positive patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care in a MedSurg/General Surgery setting.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, documenting changes accurately and timely.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Educate patients and families regarding health conditions and care plans.
• Participate in call rotation and respond to urgent situations as necessary.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must possess a valid SC or Multi-State/Compact RN license.
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
• Three years of nursing experience in a MedSurg or similar environment preferred.
• Candidate must be able to float within scope to meet facility needs.
• Experience with EPIC charting system is required.
