Registered Nurse - MedSurg/General Surgery

Night shifts: 4x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30)

Job Description

A Registered Nurse is needed for a MedSurg/General Surgery unit. Candidates who are willing to work holiday shifts are a priority. The manager prefers 4x12 hour shifts but is open to 3x12 hour shifts as well. Responsibilities include overseeing a patient ratio of 1:6, occasionally 1:7, and participating in on-call rotations.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a MedSurg/General Surgery setting.
• Administer medication and monitor vital signs.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Conduct patient assessments and document findings in the electronic health record using EPIC.
• Facilitate pre and post-operative care for various surgical procedures.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience is highly preferred.
• Active SC or Multi-State/Compact RN License.
• BLS and ACLS certifications are required, with ACLS preferred.
• Previous charge experience is preferred.
• Experience in a MedSurg or General Surgery unit is a plus.
• Travel experience is a plus.
