Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical Telemetry

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift: 3x12 hours (19:00 - 07:30) with every other weekend and holidays as needed.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in this position will provide care primarily to medical-surgical patients, including those with respiratory conditions, psychiatric observations, and various other diagnoses. This role requires EKG capability, and the nurse will be responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor and manage patient conditions, including telemetry.
• Provide patient education and support.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care.
• Float across all Cone Health facilities as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Pass an EKG exam during onboarding.
• Experience with EPIC charting system required.
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred.
