Registered Nurse - Level II Trauma NT/SICU

This position involves a 12-hour night shift, starting at 1900 hours.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will work in a Level II Trauma NT/SICU unit specializing in neuro/trauma patients. The unit features a 12-bed capacity with a 2:1 patient-to-nurse ratio. Nurses will be responsible for caring for patients with ICP monitors, CRRT, and lumbar drains. The ability to float to the Cardiovascular Unit, Telemetry Care Unit, ICU/CCU, or Med Surg units as needed is also a requirement.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to neuro/trauma patients.
• Monitor and manage patients with ICP monitors, CRRT, and lumbar drains.
• Float to other units as required, including Cardiovascular Unit and Telemetry Care Unit.
• Utilize EPIC charting for patient records and documentation.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 5 years of acute critical care experience.
• Current CA RN license.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• EPIC charting experience.
• Previous traveler experience in critical care settings.
• Experience in a Level II trauma critical care environment.
