Night MedSurg Registered Nurse (RN)

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift, 4x12-hour (19:00 - 07:00) schedule with weekends required (3 shifts per 4-week period).

Job Description

We seek an experienced MedSurg Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced 34-bed medical-surgical unit. The role requires strong nursing skills in both telemetry and medical care settings. The RN will collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and administer medications as prescribed.
• Monitor and interpret vital signs, lab results, and telemetry readings.
• Manage and assist with various treatments, including IV therapy, wound care, and respiratory support.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
• Participate in daily huddles and coordinate patient flow.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a MedSurg or telemetry setting.
• Current RN license (West Virginia or Compact) required; pending licenses may be accepted.
• Certifications required: BCLS, ACLS, NIH.
• Experience with Cerner EMR is preferred.
