Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

This is a Night 3x12-Hour shift position from 19:00 to 07:30.

Job Description

We are seeking a Registered Nurse with experience in Labor and Delivery to join our dedicated team. This role involves providing high-quality nursing care to expectant mothers and their newborns in a fast-paced clinical setting. Our ideal candidate will be skilled in managing high-risk pregnancies and deliveries, with a strong emphasis on patient education and support.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients during labor and delivery.
• Perform triage of obstetrical patients and assist with high-risk deliveries.
• Monitor fetal heart rate patterns and assess maternal well-being.
• Assist with surgical procedures, including Cesarean sections.
• Educate parents on postpartum care, breastfeeding support, and infant assessments.
• Maintain central lines and administer medications as prescribed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery.
• Current New York RN License.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate.
