Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical Telemetry

This is a 3x12-hour night shifts position from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, every other weekend. Holidays may be required as needed.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing patient care in a primarily Medical Surgical environment, while also being capable of handling telemetry patients due to EKG requirements. The position involves managing a diverse patient population including but not limited to observation patients, those with respiratory conditions, general medical-surgical diagnoses, and psychiatric observation patients. The RN will be expected to float across all facilities as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to a varied patient population.
• Monitor vital signs and administer medications through various routes.
• Manage telemetry and observe for any dysrhythmias.
• Perform necessary patient assessments and document care in Epic EMR.
• Provide patient and family education as needed.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including nursing, respiratory therapy, and social services.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required.
• BLS certification required; ACLS and NIHSS preferred.
• Active RN license required at the time of application.
• Previous charge RN experience is preferred.
• Must pass an EKG exam during onboarding.
