Schedule

Shifts include 7a-7p, 11a-11p, 3p-3a, and 7p-7a, with flexibility required for holidays and weekends.

Job Description

A dedicated Emergency Department Registered Nurse is needed to operate in a critical access environment, providing urgent care to patients ranging from newborns to geriatrics. The position requires a strong candidate capable of managing a dynamic and varied patient population while collaborating with a diverse healthcare team.

Responsibilities

• Perform assessments and triage patients utilizing the ESI triage scale.
• Insert IVs and manage drips/infusions.
• Conduct EKGs and apply restraints as necessary.
• Administer procedural sedation and facilitate patient transports.
• Utilize telemedicine and telestroke consultations effectively.
• Provide care in an emergency setting with a focus on patient safety and comfort.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years clinical experience in Emergency Nursing.
• Previous travel assignment experience is required.
• Must possess certifications: AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, AHA PALS, TNCC, NRP, and NIHSS.
• EPIC documentation experience within the last 2 years is non-negotiable.
• Charge experience and willingness to precept new nurses preferred.
