Sterile Processing Technician II - Days

Assignment Duration

This is a 40-hour contract position with a block schedule from Sunday to Thursday.

Schedule

Shifts are from 07:00 AM to 03:30 PM, with weekend coverage every Sunday required.

Job Description

The Sterile Processing Technician II will be responsible for ensuring the proper assembly and sterilization of surgical trays with a focus on cardiac, orthopedic, and neurological instruments. This role requires proficiency in the use of Steris V-Pro sterilizers and the Sterile Processing Microsystem. The technician will adhere to established protocols for cleanliness and safety within the sterile processing department.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and sterilize surgical trays according to protocols.
• Maintain inventory of sterile supplies and equipment.
• Participate in the decontamination process as needed.
• Perform quality control checks on sterilization processes.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in sterile processing.
• Certification from either CBSPD or IAHCSMM/SPA is required.
• Current BLS certification is preferred.
