Sterile Processing Technician II - Nights

Job Description

The Sterile Processing Technician II will be responsible for the effective assembly of trays for cardiac, orthopedic, and neurological procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of aseptic techniques and the use of specialized sterilization equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and sterilize surgical instruments and trays, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
• Utilize SPM and Steris V-Pro sterilizers for equipment processing.
• Maintain inventory levels of sterile supplies and instruments.
• Perform high-level disinfection and immediate use steam sterilization as necessary.
• Rotate through decontamination and other departments as required.
• Participate in routine equipment maintenance and validation of sterilization processes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2 years of experience in sterile processing or a related field is required.
• Proficiency in cardiac, orthopedic, and neurological tray assembly.
• Certification from CBSPD or IAHCSMM is required; BLS certification is preferred.
• Must be comfortable floating within specialty and to other campuses as needed.
