Registered Nurse - Intermediate Care Unit

Schedule

Night shift: 19:00 – 07:30, working three 12-hour shifts per week with a total of 36 hours.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) is responsible for assessing, implementing, and evaluating patient care under the direction of the licensed physician. This role involves working with a diverse patient population including Med/Surg, PCU, and ICU patients. The RN collaborates with patients, their families, and the healthcare team to individualize patient care and oversees nursing support staff to ensure adherence to standards of nursing practice.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and support for individuals in IMCU.
• Monitor patient conditions and implement appropriate interventions.
• Ensure adherence to protocols for various medical conditions as outlined.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Train and supervise nursing support staff in best practices.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
• Minimum two years of experience in clinical specialty.
• At least two years of RN experience in general nursing.
• Active PA or MSL Compact Registered Nurse License is required.
• Basic Life Support certification is mandatory. Additional certifications may be required based on specialty area.
