Job Description

The PICU Registered Nurse will provide high-quality care to critically ill patients in a pediatric intensive care environment. The nurse will float to the CICU as needed and respond to a consistently high census while managing the facility’s patient needs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive patient care to infants, children, and adolescents in the PICU.
• Perform and document assessments, interventions, and evaluations of patient conditions.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Manage all aspects of patient care, adhering to established protocols and safety guidelines.
• Float to the CICU as necessary based on patient workload and staffing needs.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have 2 years of PICU nursing experience, with exposure to CICU preferred.
• Current and valid RN license (single state OH or multi-state license required).
• Certification in BLS, ACLS, and PALS.
• Previous charge experience preferred.
• Successful completion of additional background checks and health screenings prior to employment.
