Registered Respiratory Therapist - Pediatric Specialty

Day shift: 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:30)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with a focus on pediatric patients. This position involves working in various critical care units including RRT-NICU, PICU, and CVICU. The therapist may also float to Shaker Children's Rehab, Fairview NICU, Akron NICU, and Hillcrest NICU as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-level respiratory care to pediatric patients.
• Administer treatments and therapies as prescribed in accordance with established protocols.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Participate in patient assessments and care planning.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
• Educate patients and families on respiratory care practices.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of two years’ experience in pediatric respiratory therapy, including NICU and PICU.
• Current Ohio RRT license in hand is required.
• Certifications: NBRC, BLS, Advanced NRP & PALS must be active and submitted at the time of application.
• Experience in high-level care environments is necessary, specifically level 4 care.
• References from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the specialty are required for submission.
