Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU). This role is vital in providing critical care to patients and managing complex medical conditions in a community hospital setting. Candidates should be prepared to float to different areas as necessary and work every other weekend.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess patients' conditions, utilizing critical thinking and advanced clinical skills.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring patient safety and compliance.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care.
• Perform essential procedures and interventions as needed in a fast-paced environment.
• Document nursing assessments, care plans, and changes in patient conditions accurately using EPIC.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active RN license in the state of practice (PA or Compact license required).
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an ICU setting.
• Prior experience in a community hospital environment preferred.
