ICU Registered Nurse - Nights

This position requires a night shift schedule, working three 12-hour shifts per week from 20:00 to 08:30.

Job Description

The ICU Registered Nurse (RN) will provide critical care to adult and geriatric patients in a fast-paced environment. The nurse will be responsible for a patient ratio of 1:2, potentially up to 3 patients with lower acuity. Common diagnoses include Sepsis, Pneumonia, and other multi-system organ failure conditions.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage critical patient conditions.
• Administer medications and IV therapies.
• Assist with various medical procedures including bronchoscopies and tracheostomy care.
• Provide emergency care and manage life support equipment.
• Coordinate patient care with interdisciplinary team members.
• Document patient care accurately in the Epic charting system.
• Undertake on-call responsibilities as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum 1 year of ICU experience required; first-time travelers accepted.
• Active RN Maryland state license or compact license.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, CPI.
• Experience with charting in the Epic system is necessary.
