This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift: 5x8 hours, Monday to Friday (21:00 - 04:30) with no weekend shifts required.

Job Description

The Sterile Processing Technician will be responsible for ensuring the sterilization and availability of surgical instruments and equipment. This position requires a high level of attention to detail and adherence to sterilization protocols to ensure patient safety.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning and disinfecting surgical instruments and equipment.
• Operating and monitoring sterilizers and other cleaning equipment.
• Assembling instrument trays and sets for surgical procedures.
• Documenting sterilization processes and outcomes.
• Following strict protocols for sterilization wrapping and storage.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year experience as a Sterile Processing Technician; preference for 2 years.
• Certification: CBSPD or CRCST (through HSPA, formerly IAHCSMM).
• Candidate must possess a valid compact state license at the time of submission.
