Registered Nurse - Neuro Experience (Tele RN)

Schedule

This is a 13-week contract position with night shifts scheduled from 19:00 to 07:00. Weekend availability is required, specifically every other weekend.

Job Description

Join our team as a Registered Nurse with specialized experience in neurology, providing exceptional care in a Level II Trauma Center. The position requires proficiency in telemetry nursing, particularly in managing post-surgical and various neurological diagnoses.

Responsibilities

• Administer care to patients diagnosed with neurological conditions.
• Utilize the NIH scale and manage patients effectively in a telemetry setting.
• Provide pre and post-operative care for neurosurgery patients.
• Support interdisciplinary teams while floating between units as needed.
• Monitor and manage telehealth and surgical patients’ vitals and therapies.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of neurology nursing experience required.
• Active RN license is required; compact license must be in hand at submission.
• Certifications in ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS are mandatory.
• Experience with Epic charting system is essential.
• Skills in managing BiPAP/CPAP, chest tubes, and telemetry are preferred.
