Neuro Telemetry Registered Nurse

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:00). Requires every other weekend availability.

Job Description

The Neuro Telemetry Registered Nurse will provide specialized care to patients with neurological conditions, utilizing advanced telemetry skills to monitor patient status and deliver high-quality nursing care. The position may involve floating between units as needed and does not require on-call duty.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the NIH stroke scale for patient assessments.
• Provide care for post-operative neurology patients and manage various neurological diagnoses.
• Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams including IV teams, respiratory services, and social services.
• Monitor, interpret, and manage telemetry for patients on the neuroscience unit.
• Perform procedural sedation administration and monitoring.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have at least 1 year of nursing experience in a neurology or telemetry setting.
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS.
• Must possess a valid compact RN license.
• Proficiency in Epic charting is mandatory.
