Neuro Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) - 13 Week Contract

This position offers a 3x12 hour shift, from 07:00 to 19:00, with mandatory weekend coverage required every other weekend.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Neuro Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic team. This role involves providing expert nursing care to patients with various neurology diagnoses, including post-surgical neurology patients. The ideal candidate will be skilled in using the NIH scale and managing telemetry care within a designated stroke unit.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care for neuro patients, including pre and post-surgical care.
• Monitor and interpret patient telemetry data, managing dysrhythmias as needed.
• Execute procedural sedation administration and monitoring.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to facilitate effective patient care.
• Utilize Epic for documentation and patient charting processes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in neurology nursing with telemetry experience.
• Valid RN license; compact license preferred.
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications.
• Experience with BiPAP/CPAP management and chest tube care.
