Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ED RN) - Night/Evening Shifts

Assignment Duration

This is a 16-week contract position.

Schedule

Rotating night/evening shifts (3x12 or 4x12 hours), primarily night shift (19:00 - 07:30) with potential evening shifts depending on unit needs.

Job Description

The Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ED RN) will provide high-quality care to patients of all age ranges in a fast-paced environment. The candidate will be responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing patient care, while adhering to hospital policies and protocols.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients in accordance with established protocols.
• Assess patient conditions and report changes to the healthcare team.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Coordinate care with interdisciplinary team members.
• Manage patient records and ensuring accurate documentation.
• Support patients and families with appropriate education and resources.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment in the emergency department.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as an ED RN required.
• Current RN license in the state of Maryland or compact state.
• Certification in BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIH, and CPI.
• Experience with Epic charting system preferred.
• Charge experience preferred.
