Operating Room Circulator Nurse - Travel Contract

Schedule

Days: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM. Call required during the assignment, including holidays.

Job Description

The Operating Room Circulator Nurse provides comprehensive perioperative nursing care across a broad range of surgical specialties within a Level III Trauma facility. This role is responsible for coordinating and managing patient care throughout the intraoperative phase, ensuring patient safety, maintaining regulatory compliance, and facilitating efficient surgical workflow.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage patient care during surgical procedures
• Ensure patient safety and maintain sterile techniques
• Facilitate surgical workflow and documentation
• Prepare surgical cases and manage equipment and supplies
• Administer medication and handle specimens as necessary
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and surgical team members

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2+ years of experience as a Registered Nurse in an Operating Room setting
• BLS certification is required; ACLS is preferred
• Experience with General, Ortho, OBGYN, Robotics, Urology, Hand, and Podiatry surgeries
• Registered Nurse (RN) license required
• Fingerprint clearance as required for all NM travelers
