Operating Room Registered Nurse

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Four 9-hour shifts per week, with 32 hours guaranteed. The schedule may include either a consistent day off each week or a rotating day off providing a three-day weekend every other week.

Job Description

The Operating Room Registered Nurse is responsible for assessing, planning, directing, evaluating, and delivering safe appropriate care within the scope of their practice to patients in the Operating Room.

Responsibilities

• Assessing patient needs and planning appropriate nursing interventions.
• Directing and evaluating patient care within the Operating Room.
• Delivering safe and appropriate nursing care in accordance with best practices.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current New Mexico or multi-state RN License.
• Current BLS (AHA) certification upon hire.
• Current ACLS (AHA); PALS preferred.
• One year previous OR, Pre-OP, PACU, or related experience preferred.
