Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN)

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift: 4x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00). Some weekend shifts required.

Job Description

The Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients in labor and delivery. This role requires expertise in managing high-risk obstetric patients and performing various procedures associated with labor and delivery.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess the health and progress of laboring patients.
• Administer medications and assist with pain management, including epidurals and analgesia.
• Manage acute care scenarios, including emergencies and complications in obstetrics.
• Assist with various delivery methods, including vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections.
• Educate and support patients and families in labor and delivery processes.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery nursing.
• Certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, FHM, NRPS.
• Experience with Epic charting system is required.
