MedSurg RN - Night Shift (4x12-Hour)

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

4x12-hour shifts, Nights from 7 PM to 7:30 AM. Weekend coverage required every other weekend.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated MedSurg RN to provide comprehensive nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a dynamic medical-surgical environment. The MedSurg RN will be responsible for patient assessments, care planning, implementation of care, and evaluation of outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Manage and provide care for patients with various medical-surgical diagnoses.
• Maintain accurate patient records and charting in Epic.
• Monitor patient's conditions and administer medications, including insulin and heparin.
• Provide telemetry monitoring and assess vital signs regularly.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Participate in rapid response and code team activities as necessary.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of MedSurg nursing experience preferred.
• SC RN License or Compact License required prior to start.
• BLS certification required; ACLS and NIHSS preferred.
• Experience with Epic charting system is mandatory.
