Emergency Room Registered Nurse

Schedule

This position offers a 3x12 hour night shift schedule, from 19:00 to 07:30, including weekend coverage every other week, with changes based on facility needs.

Job Description

As an Emergency Room Registered Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care for individuals experiencing medical emergencies. You will work closely with a team of health professionals to deliver timely interventions and treatments, while ensuring compliance with hospital policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions and vital signs.
• Manage emergency situations effectively by executing protocols.
• Document patient interactions and care plans using EPIC.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient care.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families.
• Float to other units as needed based on patient census and needs.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current TN Registered Nurse license.
• 1 year of experience in the Emergency Room setting required.
• 1 year of experience with the EPIC documentation system required.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute), TNCC preferred.
