Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our dynamic 24/7 in-house Respiratory Therapy department. The ideal candidate will be proficient in various critical care techniques and comfortable working across multiple patient care areas, including ICU, ER, and pediatrics.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care for adult patients, with occasional care for pediatric and neonatal populations.
• Administer routine medications and manage both invasive and non-invasive ventilator support.
• Perform patient assessments and interpret Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs).
• Assist in emergency situations, including extubation and EKGs.
• Demonstrate proficiency in the use of respiratory equipment and troubleshooting high-pressure alarms.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of respiratory therapy experience required.
• Active NY State respiratory therapy license in hand.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, CRT, NRP required; PALS, RRT preferred.
• Experience with EPIC charting system is a hard requirement.
