Job Description

The Travel Behavioral Health Registered Nurse is responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients in a 44-bed inpatient psychiatric facility. This role includes managing both adolescent and geriatric behavioral health units, ensuring adherence to the philosophy, goals, and standards of the nursing department.

Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate and professional nursing care to patients within the behavioral health units.
• Oversee the management of clinical activities and maintain high standards of nursing care delivery.
• Implement staffing and scheduling for nursing personnel in accordance with unit needs.
• Conduct orientation and educational sessions for nursing staff, promoting positive public relations.
• Maintain good working relationships with multidisciplinary teams within the facility.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Inpatient adolescent psychiatric experience required.
• De-escalation training/certification; participation in SAFE Training Course available if needed.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Floating between adolescent and geriatric behavioral health units is required.
