Registered Nurse - Medical/Surgical / Colorectal & Bariatric

Assignment Duration

This is a 16-week contract position.

Schedule

Nights - 12-hour shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM. A total of 36 hours per week, with 1 weekend shift required per week or 2 weekend shifts every other week. Must work at least 1 holiday per contract.

Job Description

We are seeking a Registered Nurse with experience in Medical/Surgical nursing, specifically in Colorectal and Bariatric care. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing quality patient care, monitoring patients' conditions, administering medications, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in alignment with established protocols.
• Administer medications and monitor patient responses.
• Conduct assessments and document patient data effectively.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to create and implement care plans.
• Participate in patient education and advocate for patient needs.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year recent experience in acute medicine/surgery or telemetry nursing.
• A total of 2 years of U.S. work experience is required for non-U.S. candidates.
• Active New York RN License.
• AHA BLS certification.
