3x12 Night shifts (19:00 - 07:00), weekdays, every other weekend.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Behavioral Health Registered Nurse (RN) to provide essential nursing care for adult patients with various psychological disorders. The successful candidate will work within a multidisciplinary team to ensure patient safety, comfort, and recovery.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and monitor patient responses.
• Provide psychoeducation and psychiatric assessments.
• Implement seclusion protocols as necessary and ensure adherence to safety standards.
• Engage in crisis intervention and support to patients in distress.
• Maintain thorough and accurate patient documentation in the EMR (Avatar).

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required.
• West Virginia RN License or Compact License (pending application acceptable).
• Current certifications: BCLS, CPI, and First Aid (CPI/First Aid can be obtained during orientation).
• Experience with patient ratios of 1:15-20 for adult and forensic patients.
• Previous charge experience is preferred.
