Labor and Delivery Surgical Tech

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

3 × 11.5 hour shifts per week, with hours from 7 PM to 7:30 AM and a 60-minute unpaid lunch. Alternating weekends required.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Labor and Delivery Surgical Tech to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive support in various phases of labor and delivery, assisting healthcare professionals in a high-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with 1:1 active labor and complications management.
• Support during earlier stage labor with ratios of 1:2.
• Manage high-risk antepartum cases with staffing ratios of 1:1 to 1:2.
• Function effectively in Triage and PACU with staffing ratios of 2-3 RNs.
• Collaborate with maternity care teams in various specialties including L&D, High Risk Antepartum, Induction of Labor, Triage, and PACU.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years experience in Labor and Delivery required.
• Must possess mother-baby experience.
• Previous travel experience preferred.
• Certifications required: BCLS, ACLS, NRP, EFM certification.
