SICU Registered Nurse - Day Shift, 3x12-Hour Schedule

Job Description

The SICU Registered Nurse will provide critical care support in a fast-paced environment, ensuring high-quality patient care for individuals in need of intensive monitoring and interventions. Candidates must possess the required experience and certifications to effectively manage patients in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and monitor patient status throughout the shift.
• Perform comprehensive assessments on critically ill patients and implement nursing interventions.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and execute care plans.
• Continuously monitor and interpret vital signs and ECG rhythms.
• Document patient care and interventions accurately in the electronic health record.
• Lead and participate in patient and family education regarding care and procedures.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 18 months combined permanent experience in SICU; travel experience acceptable.
• Active Permanent Ohio RN license or Compact State license required at the time of submission.
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS.
• Recent experience in a relevant setting within the last 18 months.
• One reference required from a manager or supervisor in the specialty.
