Operating Room Circulator Nurse - Travel Position

Days, 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM, Monday, Tuesday, and Friday. Call and holiday work are required.

Job Description

The Operating Room Circulator Nurse provides comprehensive perioperative nursing care across a broad range of surgical specialties within a Level III Trauma facility. This role is responsible for coordinating and managing patient care throughout the intraoperative phase, ensuring patient safety, maintaining regulatory compliance, and facilitating efficient surgical workflow.

Responsibilities

• Patient assessment and advocacy.
• Surgical case preparation and equipment management.
• Documentation and specimen handling.
• Medication administration and coordination of multidisciplinary team activities.
• Ensure adherence to evidence-based practices and sterile technique standards.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2+ years of experience in a similar role.
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
• Experience in General, Ortho, OBGYN, Robotics, Urology, Hand, and Podiatry surgeries.
• Must be registered with the state of New Mexico and be compliant with fingerprinting requirements.
