This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

On-call requirement includes approximately 3-4 weeknight calls and one 24-hour weekend call within an 8-week period. Weeknight call hours are from 9 PM to 7 AM, and weekend call is from 7 AM to 7 AM.

Job Description

We are seeking a Preoperative and Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Registered Nurse to join our team at a community hospital with 7 operating rooms. This role involves working with a variety of specialties, including Neuro, Plastics, ENT, Breast, General, GYN, Urology, Ortho, Vascular, and Endoscopy.

Responsibilities

• Provide preoperative and postoperative care to patients.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and recovery progress.
• Administer medications and manage IV fluids as necessary.
• Communicate effectively with surgical teams and support staff.
• Ensure the safety and comfort of patients throughout their surgical experience.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active RN license required.
• Critical care or PACU experience preferred.
• Current certifications in BLS and ACLS required.
