Registered Nurse - PACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit)

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

36 hours per week with rotating shifts (Days, Evenings, Nights), including holidays, weekends, on-call, and call-back as needed.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) to join our fast-paced team at a Level 1 trauma center. The ideal candidate will have a passion for recovering post-operative adult patients and demonstrating positive attitudes along with direct communication standards.

Responsibilities

• Providing care for post-operative adult patients in a high volume and acuity environment.
• Collaborating effectively with team members in a fast-paced nursing environment.
• Utilizing excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RN License (NY License ONLY).
• Minimum of two (2) years of nursing experience.
• Experience in PACU required; ICU experience preferred.
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Current ACLS certification from the American Heart Association.
