Registered Nurse - Outpatient Observation Unit

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, with a total of 36 hours scheduled and 24 hours guaranteed. Rotating holidays and weekends may be required.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will provide care in the Outpatient Observation Unit, delivering high-quality nursing services to patients. Candidates must be comfortable in a fast-paced environment and may be required to float to a sister site based on staffing needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in the Outpatient Observation Unit.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor and document patient vitals and health status.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Assist in the orientation of new staff as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 24 months of Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience, with recent experience within the last 12 months.
• Active Registered Nurse license with no hits on state license to practice.
• Life support certifications (ACLS and BLS) from AHA, ARC, or ASHI.
• Candidate's driver's license to verify residency.
• Travel experience is highly preferred.
