Operating Room Registered Nurse

Job Description

The Operating Room Registered Nurse is responsible for assessing, planning, directing, evaluating, and delivering safe and appropriate care within the scope of their practice to patients in the Operating Room.

Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate patient needs in the Operating Room.
• Plan and implement nursing care tailored to individual patients.
• Direct and coordinate patient care activities in collaboration with surgical and anesthesia teams.
• Evaluate patient outcomes and adjust care plans accordingly.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and protocols within the Operating Room.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current New Mexico or multi-state RN License.
• Current BLS (AHA) certification upon hire.
• Current ACLS (AHA) certification; PALS preferred.
• One year of previous OR, Pre-OP, PACU, or related experience preferred.

Schedule

This position requires varying shift hours with on-call responsibilities.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
