Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

Schedule

This position requires 3x12-hour night shifts, from 19:00 to 07:30. The schedule includes 2 weekend shifts or 4 weekend days per 6 weeks and is subject to holiday coverage. There is no call requirement.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Emergency Department will provide comprehensive care to patients in a fast-paced environment. Candidates will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care needs. The RN will handle a variety of patient scenarios, including trauma, cardiac emergencies, and acute medical situations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments and interpret vital signs and lab data.
• Administer medications and perform procedures as necessary.
• Utilize Epic for charting and patient documentation.
• Manage ventilated patients and perform arterial line management.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Prepare for and respond to emergency situations effectively.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the Emergency Department.
• Active RN license required upon submission.
• ACLS, BLS, and NIH certifications required.
• CPI, PALS, and TNCC certifications preferred.
• Previous Charge RN and Level 2 Trauma experience preferred.
• Must pass a compliance EKG exam (2 attempts allowed).
