Registered Nurse - PCU (12H Nights)

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

12-hour night shifts, from 7 PM to 7:30 AM, requiring three shifts per week and a minimum commitment of every other weekend.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Progressive Care Unit (PCU). The RN will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients transitioning from ICU, with a variety of diagnoses, and will work collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patient vital signs and respond to changes in condition.
• Administer medications and intravenous therapy as prescribed.
• Titrate drips including Nicardipine, pressors, and others as needed.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Manage respiratory equipment and administer breathing treatments.
• Record patient information and maintain accurate documentation.
• Assist with ADLs and provide compassionate patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have ICU and/or PCU-Stepdown experience.
• Ventilator management experience is required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications are mandatory.
• Ability to read and interpret telemetry is essential.
