Registered Nurse - IMCU/PCU

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Day shift from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM. Block scheduling is not promised or guaranteed. Floating to other units is required.

Job Description

The unit is an Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) with a focus on neuro, cardiac, trauma, and respiratory patients. The registered nurse will provide comprehensive care to patients with common diagnoses such as COPD, DKA, sepsis, myocardial infarction, and post-operative conditions. Specialty equipment includes temporary pacemakers, chest tubes, arterial lines, BiPAP, and Neptune Vapo. The RN will work with patients who may be on chronic ventilation and unable to wean off.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2+ years of experience in IMCU/PCU
• Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Active NY RN license and all RN licenses must be verified through a NURSYS report
• Experience with EPIC EMR is required
• Valid driver's license with an address matching demographics

Patient Demographics

Patients range from 18 years to adults within a 64-bed unit, including 15 designated neuro beds.
