Outpatient Physical Therapist

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Flexible schedule of 40 hours per week, including 1-2 evenings until 7 PM.

Job Description

The Outpatient Physical Therapist is responsible for evaluating patients and developing, implementing, and modifying treatment plans in accordance with the needs and goals outlined by patients and their physicians. This role includes the delegation and direction of all therapy services, ensuring the design of effective treatment programs for optimal community re-integration. The therapist will also serve as an educator for patients, families, students, and coworkers.

Responsibilities

• Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients.
• Utilize clinical reasoning to develop treatment plans and goals to progress patients toward discharge.
• Document medical records clearly and concisely in compliance with guidelines.
• Perform treatment under signed, valid physician orders and within insurance approval.
• Participate in the student program by providing supervision and evaluation.
• Maintain professional licensure and complete necessary continuing education.
• Adhere to safety standards and promote a safe environment for patients and staff.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 1 year of outpatient clinical experience.
• Current CPR certification.
• Active and applicable state license for Physical Therapy.
• Prior experience with Select Medical is preferred.
