Job Description

The Outpatient Physical Therapist evaluates all assigned patients, developing, implementing, and modifying treatment plans according to the patient’s needs, goals, and physician direction. This role includes delegation and direction of therapy services, ensuring the design of functional treatment programs that facilitate a safe return to community activities. The therapist serves as an educator for patients, families, students, and coworkers while adhering to the organization’s Mission Statement and Core Values.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Document care in compliance with state, federal, and organizational guidelines.
• Ensure all care is delivered under valid physician orders and within insurance parameters.
• Supervise and mentor students within the therapy program.
• Engage in professional development through continuing education and self-study.
• Maintain compliance with the discipline-specific State Practice Act and continuing education requirements.
• Participate in organizational performance improvement initiatives to enhance service quality.
• Promote patient and employee safety in accordance with established safety protocols.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
• Minimum of 1 year of outpatient clinical experience.
• Active CPR certification.
• Current and valid State Physical Therapist licensure.
