Registered Nurse (RN) - Night Shift

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) maintains the delivery of quality care by ensuring adherence to the nursing care plan while supervising Licensed Practical Nurses and Certified Nursing Assistants. The RN plays a critical role in providing comprehensive patient assessments, developing individualized care plans, and ensuring effective communication and collaboration within the interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough nursing assessments within 8 hours of patient admission.
• Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans based on patient assessments.
• Participate in team conferences, providing timely updates on patient status.
• Ensure accurate, timely documentation of patient care and interventions.
• Initiate discharge planning and patient education from the day of admission.
• Communicate critical information regarding changes in patient status to relevant care providers.
• Supervise and provide training to ancillary nursing staff, delegating tasks appropriately.
• Contribute to a positive working environment by fostering teamwork and calm direction.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RN license required.
• BLS Certification required before the first shift.
• Minimum of two (2) years of bedside clinical experience preferred.
• ACLS certification required prior to the first shift (specific to certain units).
