Schedule

Days: Monday to Friday, with flexible 8-hour shifts.

Job Description

The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) will provide rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment interventions to patients with physical functioning disorders, under the supervision and direction of a Physical Therapist. Utilizing evidence-based practices, the PTA will administer various procedures as part of the rehabilitation plan, assess patient progress, and communicate effectively with team members.

Responsibilities

• Utilize evidence-based practice to support clinical interventions.
• Provide skilled treatment interventions to patients under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.
• Administer procedures, including manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, and modalities.
• Assess patient progress and communicate treatment adjustments to supervising Physical Therapist.
• Document all required information in the electronic documentation system.
• Participate in required meetings and trainings.
• Adhere to APTA and state practice acts, code of conduct, and ethics during professional practice.
• Supervise and support students under the guidance of the Physical Therapist.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 1+ years of experience as a PTA is required.
• Experience in Long-Term Care (LTC) or Rehabilitation is required.
• Active PTA license is required.
• New graduates considered with Level II clinical experience.
