Occupational Therapist - Days Shift

Job Description

The Occupational Therapist will effectively screen and evaluate patients with cognitive and/or activities of daily living (ADL) physical functioning disorders, developing appropriate plans of care in line with regulatory and clinical practice standards. Utilizing standardized assessments and evidence-based practices, the therapist will support clinical interventions, providing rehabilitative treatment to patients required by their condition.

Responsibilities

• Administer various procedures as part of the rehabilitation plan including ADL retraining, therapeutic activities, and modalities.
• Assess patient progress and adjust treatments accordingly, documenting findings per regulatory requirements.
• Evaluate treatment outcomes for effectiveness and modify services based on patient evaluation.
• Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and health team members regarding patient progress and treatment plans.
• Document all required information in the electronic documentation system and maintain accurate patient records.
• Participate in required meetings and trainings related to patient care and professional development.
• Supervise and support occupational therapist assistants, rehabilitation aides, and students.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 1+ years of Occupational Therapy experience - Required
• Experience in Long-Term Care (LTC) or Rehabilitation settings - Required
• Active Occupational Therapy license - Required
• New Graduates may be considered with Level II experience.

Schedule

This position is for an 8-hour day shift.
