Job Description

The Physical Therapist in the Sports Medicine department is responsible for assessing and treating the neuromusculoskeletal and cardiorespiratory systems utilizing physical or mechanical means. This role aims to maintain or restore function impaired by injury or disease, promote mobility and health, and manage pain as prescribed by the referring physician. Key responsibilities include developing, implementing, and monitoring individualized plans of care, while collaborating with patients, their families, and the interdisciplinary team throughout the rehabilitation process.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine patient needs.
• Develop and implement treatment plans based on patient evaluations.
• Administer physical therapy modalities and techniques.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team for care coordination.
• Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as necessary.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current New Mexico Physical Therapist licensure.
• BLS certification required.
• Doctorate, Masters, Bachelors, or Associates Degree in Physical Therapy.
• No previous experience required.
