Job Description

The Physical Therapist in the Sports Medicine department will assess and treat neuromusculoskeletal and cardiorespiratory systems using physical or mechanical means to restore or maintain function impaired by injury or disease. This role involves implementing and monitoring the patient's plan of care as prescribed by the referring physician, performing physical therapy modalities, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team and the patient's family throughout the treatment process.

Responsibilities

• Assess and formulate treatment plans for patients.
• Administer physical therapy modalities and interventions.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
• Educate patients and their families about treatment processes and progress.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current New Mexico Physical Therapist licensure.
• BLS certification required.
• Doctorate, Masters, Bachelors, or Associates Degree in Physical Therapy.
