Job Description

The Physical Therapist, Sports Medicine, is responsible for assessing and treating neuromusculoskeletal and cardiorespiratory systems through physical or mechanical means. The objective is to maintain or restore function that has been impaired by injury or disease, manage pain, and promote mobility and health as prescribed by a referring physician. This role entails developing, implementing, and monitoring the care plan for patients while performing and directing all physical therapy modalities and collaborating with patients, their families, and the interdisciplinary team throughout the treatment process.

Responsibilities

• Assess and treat patients with neuromusculoskeletal and cardiorespiratory system issues.
• Develop and implement patient-specific care plans.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
• Administer physical therapy modalities and coordinate with healthcare teams.
• Collaborate with patients and their families to promote understanding of the treatment process.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current New Mexico Physical Therapist licensure.
• BLS certification required.
• No experience required.
