Shift: 4x10 Days with rotating day off. Call required.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in Surgical Services will provide comprehensive patient care for individuals undergoing surgical procedures. The candidate will be responsible for assessing patient needs, implementing nursing interventions, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. The RN will handle a variety of surgical cases and assist in the planning and execution of care pre- and post-operatively.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and provide patient education.
• Monitor patient progress and respond to changes in condition.
• Assist in surgical procedures and related patient care activities.
• Coordinate with surgical teams to ensure patient safety and quality of care.
• Document patient care and maintain accurate medical records.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of clinical nursing experience.
• Previous surgical/charge experience is preferred.
• Must possess a valid RN license (State or Compact) at the time of submittal.
• Experience with Epic or similar charting systems is required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
