Job Description

The Emergency Room Registered Nurse is accountable for delivering patient care in accordance with the Nursing Process, state Nurse Practice Act, and hospital protocols. This role requires critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership in the anticipation and planning for safe patient care delivery in the Emergency Department.

Responsibilities

• Conduct rapid patient assessments and assign Emergency Severity Index.
• Provide immediate life-saving interventions and stabilize critical patients.
• Administer necessary medications in a timely manner.
• Coordinate care with other healthcare professionals for optimal outcomes.
• Demonstrate clinical competencies and maintain up-to-date knowledge through continuing education.
• Delegate patient care priorities based on staff education and experience.
• Supervise and provide direction to assigned personnel delivering patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 1+ years of Emergency Room nursing experience required.
• Certifications: ACLS, PALS, BLS, NIHSS, SAMA or equivalent.
• Preferred: TNCC and ENPC certification.
