Registered Nurse - High Risk Labor and Delivery

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift (4x12-Hour: 19:00 - 07:30). Must work every other weekend and holidays as needed.

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our High Risk Labor and Delivery unit. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in high acuity environments and be equipped to handle various responsibilities in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Circulate in the delivery room and provide Newborn (NB) care including administration of Vitamin K and assessments.
• Assist with high risk and vaginal deliveries, including C-sections.
• Provide care to midwifery clients, private OBs, and patients in adult recovery substance support services.
• Monitor and respond to abnormal fetal heart rate patterns using electronic fetal monitoring (EPIC system).
• Function in the role of Baby Nurse during deliveries, continuing care until transfer to postpartum.
• Float to sister facilities if required.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 3-5 years of RN experience in high acuity and high risk environments.
• Current supervisory references required.
• Must have current BLS and NRP certifications; ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, and Intermediate preferred.
• Active compact RN license must be in hand at submission.
• Experience with EPIC charting system is required.
